Reviews
- Unlike a lot of other reviews here, mine sounds really good.
Definitely not the best sounding in my collection but really good still.
Mine didn't come warped at all (EU store) and there is little to no surface noise. The Mixing isn't bad at all either, not that it's much different from the released version.
Maybe I got lucky but I don't really understand some comments on here.
Music is great too obv - fuck everyone who is already reselling this for £80+ even £50 is too much for this shit it just came out
- Edited one day agoi feel i have a pretty intermediate audiophile setup and this record sounds absolutely horrendous on it. my copy arrived slightly warped which sucked. there’s no surface noise which was nice but the removal of several samples and background vocals on this ‘test pressing’ i think makes this one of the worst records by tyler on vinyl. not even the chromokopia test pressing sounded this bad. hopefully they’ll be a streaming release of this album.
- Edited 2 days agoVinyl has no surface noise at all and sounds good overall after an ultrasonic cleaning. Not a fan of the PVC sleeve used, but I’m just storing it somewhere else away from the record. Could have been better packaging-wise but still good after a cleaning and I’m not unhappy with this release. No complaints about the wax itself which is what matters to me.
- Just a note for folks looking to buy: do your due diligence with anyone here listed as a 'New Seller'. Scamming happens quite often with buzzy high profile releases like this.
I'm not calling anybody out here specifically and what each sellers true intentions are isn't for me to say. I'm just saying to potential buyers: make sure you know who you are working with before you send the cash. Ask for photos, make sure you use a payment method with buyer protection and otherwise use your bullshit detector.
Naturally anyone with an established Discogs store and a good number of positive reviews is a different story entirely. - Huge Tyler fanboy but this is a terrible release. Pressed at United so pretty sure the entire batch is warped like shit like my copy. Paid 55€ for this garbage from the UK webshop shipped to Germany. Definitily the last time i've bought a release from a questionable North American pressing plant which they all are except QRP & RTI.
- what the hell is with the mixing/mastering on this record, i thought something was wrong with my cartridge.
- Edited 4 days agoThis is easily the worst packaging I've ever seen , It doesn't even look cool aesththically. It looks cheap and corny. And to all the hypebeasts stans hoarding this album; this is not limited (or that limited) or rare. It's not going to bankroll your retirement. So enjoy it for what it is, another Tyler record.
