Love this album. I'm not a big fan of Walmart but I really wanted this lighter blue vinyl. Looks more like water to me than the Target darker blue. Flat, quiet pressing!

This “Great Women of Song” series is an example of going cheap. For the same focus on female jazz artists, but done right, with fine quality, look at the EU’s Supper Club Series. https://www.discogs.com/label/3225026-Supper-Club

Great pressing. Wonderful series. If you haven't heard Chris Connor, do yourself a favor and pickup this gem.

I have this same misprinted copy. Mine also has a spindle home too small to fit on the spindle... So I don't think it was ever played. Rare? Valuable?

A great 2-record set! Top-notch from performance, to recording, to pressing! If you don't have any of Otis singing live like this, you are missing a totally different listening experience to his studio recordings. Redding is so loose and... See full review

My copy in transparent aqua is perfect. So quiet and crisp. Love the record and the packaging.

yes! I have the new 2022 release, orange pumpkin vinyl at 33 1/3rpm. I hope someone adds it soon, so I can add it to my collection. I would do it, but I always mess something up and get yelled at by the folks who care about perfection way more than... See full review

Fine album but the record, purchased directly from the artists, was a mess. Tear in the top cover seam. Tears on top and bottom seams of the inner paper sleeve. Some kind of liquid drops and smears on the vinyl itself, which took several rounds of... See full review

Has to be unofficial copy? It sure aint blue note ?

I agree...mine sounds okay, but it had a weird rubbery inner sleeve, that was stuck to the record...something Blue Note would never do. It doesn't say Blue Note anywhere on... See full review

It's not my favorite Bill Evans, but I think it's a lot of fun. I think you MUST listen to this album through headphones, at least once... It brings the three Bills together in a way that listening through spread-out speakers just can't reproduce!

A lovely collection of RCA hits from the 1940’s. But why, with all the great songs of this decade, did they include Duane Eddy’s “Deep In The Heart Of Texas” from 1962!?! Sounds totally out of place...Duane would have been 11 years old in 1949. ... See full review

Yes, the liner notes on the vinyl release even refer to it being a quintet for the first three numbers and a sextet for the final three, and yet there are only five selections on the album. Side one is 21 minutes long..Side two is about 22 minutes. ... See full review

My copy of this release was a mess. Jumps, pops and skips all over. I’m usually a big fan of WaxTime but this copy was awful, fresh out of the shrink wrap! Music was incredible, though.

On my copy of this 1958 RondoLette release, the labels are on the wrong side. Also Ben Webster’s “Body and Soul” (Track 3) is before “Honeysuckle Rose” (Track 4) on my copy. And, as has been noted, “Body and Soul” doesn’t appear on the front or back... See full review

This is intentional. Back in the day you would stack multiple records on a long spindle in the center of the turntable with a stabilizing arm that would swing over and sit on top of the stack of records. The record player would drop the bottom disc... See full review
