Superb sound. Near flawless pressing. Big fan of the vinyl color too unlike most since it perfectly matches my setup, haha. One of the best acquisitions of the year - highly recommend!
This is a great sounding half speed master on my turn table my only complaint on this record is that they could have picked a different colour for the vinyl maybe like a deep sea blue or a light blue just to match the vibe of the album cover but this is a great alternative for the first pressing which is going for around £155 nowadays.

Really nice pressing and really good presentation overall. This sounds really nice with really bright and clean treble, nice bass and dynamic sound overall. It isn't quiet at all as some people say, it's as loud as most pressings. There's a bit of surface noise on my copy but only hearable in between songs so no big deal.
I was very skeptical when I heard that this vinyl was cut by Miles Showell. I don't usually like his cuts because the stereo image shifts too far to the left. But this one is excellent, if I didn't know better, this cut could easily have been by RKS, BG or KG. A stereo stage as it should be, with a nice phantom center and a width reminiscent of Qsound. I have no comparison to other pressings, but I am very happy with the sound. The pressing is very clean and there are hardly any clicks or pops. I don't understand why it should be cut quietly, my VU meters show a typical volume for a record of this length, it can seem quiet because it is very dynamic.
No issues with my pressing (apart from the fact that I wished it was pressed louder as it's so quiet). Quality is great (thick jacket, 180g, no warping).
Well, this suck. I ordered my copy from CD Japan, pre-ordered in fact, so I will see if anything will be done in terms of a refund. (Arrived today via DHL) What I was expecting to be a flawless copy, given the past remasters by the same studio, unfortunately turns out to be a factory dud. Scratches on the inside of the label part indicating more scratches throughout the record. The dye used looks like its frozen plastic on top the surface. Distortion all through out on the 2nd side, needle jumps on the 2nd track on first side. Although the quality of the remaster sounds great in and of itself, it is disappointing that this reissue has fallen to basic factory defects on the fact that vinyl factories are too far into demand to produce a good quality vinyl in 2025. As mentioned, the other reissues from 2024 of Takanaka's work are fantastic, so something seriously wrong has happened in between those.
