X) Sadly, as of 04/08/20 I AM TEMPORARILY SUSPENDING SHIPMENTS BEYOND CANADA after consulting with both the local post and numerous discogs sellers -- many US & international shipping hubs are changing their policies on a daily basis at this time and extended waits or even refusal of delivery is a real concern . . .when this nascent obstacle is coupled with the costs of Registered Mail and / or Customs, it seems prudent to take this cautionary measure in order to avoid potentially unhappy buyers overseas -- apologies!
1) As specifically outlined by Discogs, Solar Bloom is not responsible for any customs/import charges your country may impose upon you in order to receive merchandise. In accordance with US Federal code, I ALWAYS list the full price of anything you purchase :)
2) Due to a recent rare sealed vintage CD apparently not arriving in Germany, I am now requiring Registered Mail for any orders beyond Canada. I love my international buyers and this was the first time anything has been reported "lost" in decades of shipping, but because I carry so many relatively rare and premium condition releases, I must have absolute proof that the order was received and signed for by the buyer. So if you are not willing to pay an extra $14 to $20 (varies by country) in addition to the normal shipping price for this extra layer of care and security, unfortunately I will have to pass on your order. If you have ordered before please contact me and perhaps an exception can be made, or if you'd like to make a case for why it's not necessary for you, feel free -- but the fact that an order went missing to a major European hub and to a buyer with hundreds of positive feedbacks and a 100% rating leaves me no choice but to implement this policy. Apologies.....
Domestic US: Solar Bloom ships US Postal Service Media Mail, with tracking included in the charge (along with insurance for MOST items over $20 -- you may be required to pay for insurance and/or signature confirmation on more costly articles). Tracking # and Estimated Day Of Arrival are both sent to your inbox after the order has shipped -- If an item is lost or damaged, we are covered on both ends of the transaction :)
If you live outside the U.S., please inquire for exact shipping rates.

Solar Bloom ships from smack dab in the middle of the continental United States (Northern boundary), and from a major metropolitan area, so you should easily receive your music in the US within 2-8 days via Media Mail (according to the USPS web site). I normally ship within 2 business days of payment, as soon as the digital transfer of funds is complete to my actual bank account :)

2. When I use "Excellent" in the description window, I am using it according to this definition provided by GOLDMINE MAGAZINE, FAQ first compiled and published August 16th, 1996:

"EXCELLENT or EX or VG++: This is truly NOT Goldmine defined grade, however it is becoming more and more mainstream among collectors and sellers. It is also a very conservative grade for those who don't want to grade NM, for fear they may over grade the record and cover. In which case it is very acceptable yet should not command the highest price based on NM value.

EX VINYL: An excellent (EX or VG++) condition for vinyl will allow minor scuffs which are visible but only slightly. There may be more than a few, so be careful not to call a record Excellent that has wear to more than 15% of the surface. The wear should be minimal and of course should play mint! Any scratches that can be felt with your fingernail can NOT be called scuffs. Scuffs lay on top of the grooves. If any break in the grooves are felt, they ARE scratches. And most often, they will be heard when played (soft clicks or even loud pops). Once again, no scratches can make this grade!

EX COVER: Artwork should still be as close to perfect as can be. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear! Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show white (where the artwork pasted slick was), meaning slight wear. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs can make this grade. If you don't think a cover is NM than call it EX or less. There will be obvious reactions to the EX grade. But if you use an EX grade and price a bit lower, your risk of over-grade will be reduced dramatically. You will also make more people happy, rather than trying to call it NM."
In other words, according to the GOLDMINE info cited above, "Excellent" means I think it is an exceptionally nice VG+ record, or not quite nice enough for NM. Usually I expand on the specific details in the description window, as well.

5. All of these items are from my personal collection of 30 years, and were either acquired new or carefully selected for quality of media and jacket -- without exception, they have been carefully stored and handled. In addition, all vinyl is cleaned by an industry professional before shipping.
6. If there is some reason why an item you ordered cannot be paid for within 3 days, please correspond with me and communicate clearly with a reason for the delay. Without this communication, items invoiced and not paid for within 3 business days are subject to cancellation and the item will be re-listed so others have an opportunity to enjoy the music :)
