Great copy. However I was blown away by the bass! I don't recall the album with so much of it.🤷♂️ a little EQ adjustments is all i required. No pops our crackles. Love it.
I confess that I am one of those horrible people who thinks that this sounds good but not great. Except on "Zombie Stomp", I hear a narrow to medium soundstage with little or no separation of instruments. Ozzy's vocals, which sound clear and detailed, emerge from a sort of sonic collage; you do not get the illusion of a man singing in front of a band. I agree with the reviewers who have said that there is a lack of detail on the low end, but this does not happen on all the songs. I also wonder why they made the admirable decision to split this up onto four LP sides and then did not cut it at 45 RPM. I do not want to be too critical; I still got goosebumps during "Mama, I'm Coming Home". But I have the nagging feeling that someone else will someday get much more out of this recording in a vinyl pressing, something like what Analogue Productions has achieved with the 90s rock albums in their Atlantic 75 series.
Believe the hype. Excellent recording. I got mine direct from Ozzy’s website, no issues at all with the physical quality like some others have reported.
As others have mentioned the sound quality and mastering here is really superb, top notch stuff. However, in terms of quality control it is very lacking. If your buying this from someone I'd heavily ask for them to open up a sealed copy to make sure you're getting a functioning playable copy because it seems like every copy of this album is flawed in one way or another.
Get my copy, and it’s cutted out of center at the 3rd side and it sounds like a inconstant speed. Heard that it’s not a rare one - other people get that mistake too and at the 3rd side too. Otherwise it sounds really great
