- If you own an original copy, please reach out to me via Discogs and I can update https://www.new-order.net/jd/facs/sordidsentimental.html with your information.
warning: This page uses a very old framework, and nearly all of the eBay links are dead, so do need to rework this to see if these are archived anywhere. - does anybody know where those "unofficial" releases come from? I suspect they still come from Sordide, could that be?
- this is quite possible the greatest single put out by any post punk band ever!!! Atmosphere is BRILLIANT.. Dead Souls is as heavy as ANY metal band yet it has amazing lyrics and an intensity i haven't heard since early Gang of Four
- You can get Atmosphere on a repress for £10. Great repress on Factory records. It's always generally better to go with remaster so you can hear it much clear and sounds you couldn't hear so well before.
- Mine is number 681. I know it's legit because Rob Gretton gave it to me in 1980 at a gig we were doing. I played in a band called Tora Tora. We got Martin Hannet to produce our first single at Cargo Studio in Rochdale.
- the original copies numbered at 1578 also differ from rpm, in fact it is a 7 '' at 33 rpm, not at 45, while the counterfeits, starting with the '' medusa label '' run at 45 rpm ....
- My copy is numbered 646 of 1578. Everything looks authentic and my outer bag has the Sordide logo printed on a sticker that is fixed to the bag. Vinyl is dark grey. Everything else is there. Any thoughts if this one is authentic? Thanks
- My copy has the outer bag with the Sordide Sentimental logo printed on it, so I believe some came this way.
- I picked up a copy of this one (pretty sure it’s a legit official copy) for $1 in a record store, but just the record, and in kinda rough shape. So, if anyone out there has a record-less sleeve and inserts, let me know. Hey, I can dream can’t I?
