This is a great pressing of a great album. The only bummer is that “Never Lose That Feeling” - one of the best songs on the album - isn’t on it. I still bought it, though, and am glad that I did.
If you took Joni Mitchell chord progressions, Sonic Youth noise and tunings, Stooges Motor City rama-lama and boatloads of guitar pedals and crammed them in a blender you still wouldn't end up with Swervedriver. One of their best. Maybe THEE best. Great pressing from the MOV peoples. Nice.- Sounds fantastic! I am thankful the record was the correct one because the insert was for another band's record. Emailed MOV....hopeful they will correct the issue.
- Edited 5 years agoIt sounds as good as the original 1993 CD, which probably is (was?) the way to go. QUIET all the way, zero clicks or pops. Cover photo doesn't look like a cd scan, which is nice. Includes insert, but don't know if it's an original replica. The matrix/runout has some scratched/erased numbers that seem the same of the hi speed soul release... same stamps? A very good reissue at a very good price.
Fantastic sounding pressing. I have the original Creation LP from 1993 and this one is far superior.- Pressing sounds great. Like the reviewer below, I only have the A&M CD from 1993 to compare it to, but both sound wonderful
I found this pressing to be very good. I can only compare to the original cd release and the remastered cd release, but the sound is detailed, well balanced and full. While MOV has a spotty reputation (I've only heard two of their pressings, one was excellent and the other was disappointing) I think they've done a fine job with this pressing. Swervedriver fans, purchase with confidence.
